SUMMARY AND SUGGESTIONS

WHAT I LEARNED
My confidence in managing class has grown. I wasn't even sure whether I could impose myself as a teacher before starting the practicum. Even just thinking about it was difficult for me. However, as I became more acquainted with my pupils, I found how to exert power over them. For example, as a Physical educator, I took advantage of their activeness and energy by turning it into a benefit rather than seeing it as a problem. I was able to take control of the kids as a result of this, and once you have that power, you will immediately feel authority and confidence as a teacher.
In addition, I learnt to be more patient. My previous teaching experience was all in the Philippines, where English is spoken as a second language. However, English is a foreign language in Indonesia, and many students have below-average English abilities, so I had to make certain adaptations as a teacher to accommodate the learners' demands. So I spoke in simplified, and often broken, English, and I acquired a few Indonesian words to make things simpler for both myself and the pupils. If you want to educate non-native English speakers, you must be willing to adapt.
OVERALL IMPRESSION
It was a life-changing experience for me. In Indonesia especially in Bandung, I felt completely at ease. Despite the contrasts at first, the kindness of the pupils, instructors, and people in general reminded me of the warmth that my own countrymen are known for. I've realized that it's only by being exposed to differences and experiencing variety that we may discover our commonality. I am thankful for the people behind my success and journey in the Sea teacher Program, mentioning the people in the image. Mr. Bambang our Mentor, to Sir Dudi and the 4 other interns from UPI who also teaches Physical Education same as ours. And Lastly my classmate, Imman who is my buddy in my journey in UPI, we did it and passed the demonstration I have so much fun with you.

SUGGESTIONS
I noticed that the only countries now collaborating in the SEAMEO PROGRAM are Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. I hope that more Southeast Asian nations would join the program in the future since it is a truly fantastic experience, and the more diversified, the better.
