PROCEDURES OF TEACHING

One of the difficulties I encountered during my internship in Indonesia was a language barrier. Some of the students as well as my professors, do not speak English. So I'm not sure how I'll be able to educate my students.  In God's kindness, he granted me wisdom.

I was given the option to utilize whichever kind of teaching plan I felt most comfortable with. So I stuck with the format I'd always used in my past teaching experiences. Here's how it's done:

Motivation - catching students' attention by recalling the prior topic or by creating a clever ice breaker

Discussion- entails expanding on the topic's content.

Teacher-Student Interaction - interactive actions during or after the talk that stimulate students' oral engagement.

Evaluation- entails measuring the students' comprehension of the instruction.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Each session has a 120-minuteStime limit. I begin with the inspiration and introduction for the first 5 minutes, followed by the conversation. To avoid losing the students' attention after roughly 10-15 minutes, I introduce teacher-student engagement by giving intriguing information, since I teach Physical Education, I started the class with a warm up exercises before we proceed to the practical exam itself.

I generally complete the conversation at the 45-minute point. I then allot the remaining time (45 minutes) to complete the evaluation. By allotting a large amount of time, I have extra time to use if the charades takes longer than intended.

The practicum follows the typical approach of observation for the first week, teaching assistant for the second week, and teaching demo for the third week. At our end however, some modifications were required.
